PARTICIPANTS' WIKI PAGES

    POST NR. 1 (July 2nd)

Click on your wiki page and edit it with the following information:

a) Brief introduction about you: what you do, where you work, what levels you teach

b) A useful educational resource you use often

c) Your expectations from this course; why did you choose it?

d) An analysis of a project you’ve done this year; use the three parametres we discussed: aims, stages and assessment. You should also refer back to the six features we mentioned: collaborative, authentic, task-based, content driven, holistic and variable length. Describe your project using all the elements we talked about in the first part of today's session.

     POST NR. 2 (July 3rd)

1.Choose one of the three audiovisual mini-projects from today and yesterday’s first sessions.

2.Create one of your own, personalising it according to your students’ level and needs.

3.Post your finished sample project (as an example for the students) on your wiki page. Remember to refer back to the criteria we have been discussing on how to implement projects in the teenage classroom.

Include the following:

DESCRIPTION

What group are you going to do this mini-project with?

When are you going to do it?

Is it going it to be connected to any specific unit? If so, which?

AIMS

What is the purpose of the project?

What will the students be learning?

What will it result in?

STAGES

What phases is the project divided in?

What will students be doing in each of the phases?

How long will each one take?

ASSESSMENT

How will the project be assessed?

What criteria will be used?

What weight will the mark carry?

When you're finished, you're going to read your peer’s wiki sites and write a comment on their projects.

What can you write in your comments?

What do you like best about the project? (If you don’t like it, why not?)

Could you do it with your students? Why (not)?

How could it be improved? What could be changed? (constructive criticism)

Do you have any questions about it?
